The ceremony moves to St George’s Hall on October 28, with performances from KOJ, Roukaya B, Cherry Seraph and others, alongside paid behind-the-scenes roles for emerging creatives.
The Youth Music Awards will hold its ceremony in Liverpool for the first time on October 28, taking over St George’s Hall with hosts Crystal Raybe and Success Ariyibi. The performance bill includes KOJ, Roukaya B, Cherry Seraph, Righteous Reck, Livvy K, IMVN and Beastie.
The night is structured as more than a showcase. More than 20 paid NextGen Creatives aged 18-25 will work as event runners, photographers, PR assistants, backstage presenters and content creators, with training and travel funded by Youth Music. It is a concrete entry point into an industry that rarely makes backstage access visible.
The official afterparty pairs Tracks on Tap with DJ Hannah Lynch of Girls Don’t Sync. Liverpool Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham framed the city’s role around continuity, from the Beatles to current grassroots talent, saying music is “part of our DNA.” The comment carries the usual host-city warmth, but the ceremony’s structure gives it more weight than a standard awards-night booking.
