1010music’s Blackbox 2 Brings Larger Screen and Battery Power to Superbooth

The updated sampling workstation adds a 4-inch touchscreen, onboard power, and USB audio streaming.

At Superbooth 2026, 1010music is showing a successor to its Blackbox sampling workstation. The Blackbox 2 arrives with a larger 4‑inch color touchscreen, an internal battery, and USB audio streaming. These changes target the original 2019 model’s most obvious trade-offs.

The interface has been rebuilt around the bigger screen. Controls are rearranged in a layout that 1010music says makes the workflow cleaner, whether you’re in the studio or on stage. The battery means you can turn it on without hunting for a power supply, and USB audio lets you pipe sound straight into a computer or mobile device with no extra interface.

The first Blackbox earned a small but loyal following by squeezing a deep sampler into a pocket-sized, rugged box. Version two keeps that same approach, focusing on portability and touch-driven control. It does not try to become a different machine.

1010music has not shared pricing or a release date yet. The Blackbox 2 is on display at the company’s Superbooth booth in Berlin, where more details are likely to surface throughout the event.
