The second release on Craft Services pulls back from the debut’s polish to reveal the raw components underneath.
11:68PM’s first release on his own Craft Services imprint arrived fully formed. The second, CS002, doesn’t push forward from that point. It pulls back to a rougher, more functional state—the tools and influences that fed into the preceding EP, rather than a linear continuation. Where CS001 sounded finished, this one lets the seams show.
Opening track “Make Me” lays out that logic immediately. Swinging synth chords hang in colourful reverb before a dry breakbeat and a precise kick lock into a steady, unhurried pulse. After a section where the low end drops away, the percussion returns in a skippier pattern—closer to UK garage than rolling house—while dubbed-out subs replace any expected bassline roll. It’s minimal, but carries enough weight to hold a room on a system with real low-end presence.
The five-track EP lands July 3rd on vinyl and digital, with Bandcamp handling the latter. No grand ambitions here: just functional dancefloor material built with enough care to stand on its own.
