The country artist’s NRG Stadium show drew over 80,000 attendees, setting a new benchmark for the historic Texas event.
Cody Johnson has set a new single-show attendance record for RodeoHouston. His performance at NRG Stadium on March 22 drew 80,203 guests, surpassing the previous record for the event’s long-running concert series.
The milestone was achieved with high-profile support from special guests Carín Leon and Carrie Underwood, blending contemporary country with regional Mexican influence for the Houston crowd. The record was confirmed in a joint social media post from the artist and the rodeo.
RodeoHouston, which began in 1932, is one of the largest rodeo and concert events in the world. Johnson’s record underscores both his significant draw in Texas and the expanding crossover appeal within country and Latin music formats, a trend increasingly reflected in major live events.
