Pussy Riot Occupies Tech Firm’s New York Office in Protest of Russian Military Links

The activist collective staged a sit-in at Ubiquiti’s Manhattan headquarters, alleging the company’s networking equipment is being used to support Russian military operations.

Members of the activist group Pussy Riot occupied the Manhattan offices of technology firm Ubiquiti on Tuesday. The masked protesters staged a sit-in, directly alleging the company’s equipment is facilitating Russian military communications in Ukraine.

The collective stated its action aimed to stop Ubiquiti’s technology from being used to, in their words, power Russian war crimes. They specifically called out the reported use of the company’s wireless networking gear by Russian forces to establish secure battlefield communications.

This protest represents a continued shift in the group’s tactics toward targeting corporate entities they see as enablers of the conflict. It moves beyond symbolic performance into direct physical intervention at a company headquarters.

The action underscores the ongoing focus within activist circles on the supply chains that support military operations, aiming to disrupt not just political figures but the commercial infrastructure behind them.
