According to police reports, the incident occurred early Wednesday morning. Rousseau was jogging on or near the tracks when a Long Island Rail Road train hit him. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
Rousseau had a recent history with law enforcement related to the singer. In November 2023, he was arrested outside Eilish’s home in Los Angeles after attempting to gain entry. He was charged with stalking and trespassing at that time.
The death is being investigated by local police and the railroad authority. No further details about the circumstances leading to the incident have been released. The news marks a grim end to a case that highlighted the intense and sometimes dangerous pressures faced by major pop artists.
