The No Doubt guitarist shared his diagnosis of early onset Parkinson’s disease less than a month before the band’s Sphere residency begins.
No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont has announced he is living with early onset Parkinson’s disease. The revelation comes just weeks before the band’s scheduled reunion for a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
In a social media video posted Saturday, Dumont reflected on the process of preparing for the shows. He described revisiting the band’s archive and relearning songs as a reminder of a life he’s grateful to have led. The guitarist, a member since 1988, then addressed his health directly.
The diagnosis introduces a sobering context to the upcoming high profile reunion. The band’s series of concerts at the Sphere, their first major shows together in nearly nine years, are set to begin on June 28th.
