Phish Begins Multi-Week Sphere Residency in Las Vegas

The band’s nine-show run at the immersive venue represents a new scale for their live production, integrating custom visuals with a career-spanning setlist.

Phish has started a three-weekend residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The nine-show run marks a significant technical undertaking for the band, incorporating the venue’s immersive visual capabilities directly into their performance.

The production includes custom-made sequences that range from abstract patterns to narrative segments. Early shows featured visuals referencing the band’s history and a dedicated piece for their longtime lighting designer.

The residency draws a mix of dedicated fans and newcomers experiencing the band’s live show for the first time, often within the context of the Sphere’s unique environment. The setlists continue the band’s practice of varying material each night.

This engagement places Phish within a small group of acts to headline the new venue, following an initial run by U2. It represents a large-scale experiment in merging the band’s improvisational format with a fixed, highly produced visual framework.
