The rapper has placed a massive block of ice containing the release date for his upcoming album in a downtown Toronto parking lot.
Drake has escalated the promotional campaign for his long-teased album “Iceman” with a physical installation in downtown Toronto. A large block of ice was placed in a parking lot adjacent to the Bond Place Hotel, following an ominous image the artist posted to his Instagram story.
The rapper confirmed the location with a post showing the ice block and the caption “Release Date Inside,” suggesting the date for “Iceman” is physically embedded within the frozen structure. This follows a year of thematic teasing from Drake, who has previously cosplayed as an ice delivery worker and released several singles.
The stunt, while elaborate, follows a familiar pattern of location-based marketing for the artist. It transforms a private album detail into a public, ephemeral event, forcing fans to either witness its slow melt or rely on digital dissemination of the revealed date.
