The Menzingers Detail New Album ‘Everything I Ever Saw,’ Share Single “Chance Encounters”

The Philadelphia band returns with an album shaped by two decades of connection and a single that makes the distance feel personal.

The Menzingers have announced their next album. Everything I Ever Saw arrives in July through Epitaph Records, and it follows the band’s 2023 LP Some Of It Was True. Alongside the announcement, they released “Chance Encounters,” a track that stretches their sound toward something direct and spacious without losing the worn-in urgency that’s carried them for years.

The song leans into the heartland rock territory they stepped into back in February with “Nobody’s Heroes,” but here the arrangement feels leaner, the warmth more deliberate. The guitars open up rather than pile on, and the melody settles into a kind of steady, unhurried sincerity. It’s the sound of a band that’s been doing this long enough to know exactly what to leave out.

Guitarist Tom May framed the album as a product of shared history. “So much changed in our lives and in the world while we were making this record, and somehow, it all pulled us deeper into the band and deeper into our friendship,” he said. “Twenty years in and this is the most connected we’ve felt to what we’re doing.”

That kind of statement can easily ring hollow in a press cycle, but with the Menzingers, it tracks. They’ve spent two decades building a catalog that treats growing older not as a crisis, but as material. Everything I Ever Saw seems likely to continue that thread with the clarity that comes from sticking around.

A full tracklist and release date haven’t been announced yet, but “Chance Encounters” is out now. The album will arrive this summer.
