Kristian Matsson returns with the new song “Colors,” his first release since the 2023 album *Henry St.*, alongside a sizable tour routing through Europe and North America.
Kristian Matsson, the Swedish songwriter behind The Tallest Man on Earth, released a new single today called “Colors.” It’s his first new music since the 2023 album *Henry St.*, a record that reaffirmed his particular folk style—built from agile fingerpicking and a voice that slips between sweetness and a weathered edge. Matsson recorded “Colors” in his home studio in Sweden, continuing the self-contained approach that has defined most of his recent work.
Along with the single, Matsson confirmed a lengthy tour that begins with European dates in late June and runs through mid-November. The European portion includes stops in Ireland, Wales, and Sweden, with a full North American leg starting in October. The North American routing covers a lot of ground, from Saxapahaw’s Haw River Ballroom to Massey Hall in Toronto, Thalia Hall in Chicago, and two nights at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles.
The release comes with a video directed by Matsson and his crew, and the single artwork is just as understated—a small visual marker that fits the music’s modest scale. Tickets for the North American dates go on sale soon, with the usual presale options.
