Riot Fest returns to Douglass Park with Tool, Morrissey, Alanis Morissette, and a sprawling undercard that includes Afroman, both versions of Sex Pistols, and Insane Clown Posse.
The 2026 edition of Riot Fest returns to Chicago’s Douglass Park from September 18th to 20th with a lineup that stretches across decades and genres, tying together arena rock, punk elders, and oddball inclusions.
Tool, Twenty One Pilots, Pierce the Veil, and Alanis Morissette sit at the top of the bill. Further down, the poster gathers Morrissey, Iggy Pop, Pixies, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, and a deep punk undercard: Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Descendents, and Sugar. NAS handles the hip-hop contingent, while Patti Smith and her band bring a different kind of gravity.
The festival’s booking has long favored the unexpected, and this year is no exception. Both Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter and John Lydon’s Public Image Ltd. are slated to perform, raising questions about whether the two acts will share a day. Insane Clown Posse, GWAR, Melt-Banana, Chat Pile, and Soul Glo further thicken the undercard. Afroman, fresh off a headline-making legal victory, will also take the stage.
Three-day passes start at $339.98, with VIP and Deluxe tiers climbing higher. Last year’s Riot Fest was named Consequence’s Festival of the Year, a high bar for this edition to meet.
