The band confirmed the lineup change with a short statement on social media, welcoming the session guitarist and YouTube instructor to the fold for ongoing dates.
Machine Head have brought in guitarist Ben Eller for their current tour. The announcement came through the band’s social channels with a characteristically brief note: “Time to find out what happens when the lights go down. See you in the pit.”
No further details were given about the length of Eller’s tenure or the exact dates he’ll play. The addition follows the recent departure of Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka, who left the band earlier this year to focus on Decapitated.
Eller is best known for his instructional YouTube channel and his work as a live and session guitarist. His picking technique and deep catalog knowledge have made him a familiar presence in heavy music spaces, and he’s previously stepped in with bands like Whitechapel. The fit here makes practical sense. Eller’s style aligns with the material, and his reputation as a reliable stand-in cuts down on the unknowns that usually accompany mid-tour lineup shifts.
Machine Head’s tour continues across North America through the summer.
