The final single from Dari Bay’s album Surprise Wish carries a message about stepping out of the content loop and back into the physical world.
Dari Bay will release their album Surprise Wish this Friday, June 26, via Double Double Whammy. The record has already been previewed with three singles, and now a fourth and final track, “On Your Side,” arrives with a video directed by Gabriel Bernini.
Zack James of the band describes the song as a positive spin on a “welcome to the real world” moment — less a wake-up call than a release. In a brief statement, he explains: “It is so easy to get attached to things on the internet that have no real place in your life, or to feel paralyzed by endless content. I have to go outside and walk around for a while when this happens to me. I’m trying to prioritize the real world every day.” That attempt to remain grounded
