Rose Gray Releases Two-Track EP ‘Just Be Bodies’ / ‘Club To Your Arms’

The East Anglian duo add to a growing reputation with a new Polydor release, ahead of festival dates and a European tour supporting Tove Lo.

East Anglia’s most elusive new act has put out a two-track single on Polydor, pairing “Just Be Bodies” with “Club To Your Arms.” The release arrives as Rose Gray—a duo whose members have so far avoided identification—prepares for a run of festival appearances and a European tour supporting Tove Lo.

The songs land shortly before the pair’s debut EP, Summer Indoors (or outside wearing black). While details on the project remain thin, the new tracks offer a clearer view of what’s been generating quiet consensus around the group. The anonymity hasn’t stopped word from spreading; as Dork noted in a recent interview, “nobody knows who they are, but everyone is starting to realise they’re Very Good Indeed.”

The combination of tight songwriting and a refusal to play the usual visibility games has set Rose Gray apart in a cycle where overexposure is the default. Whether the EP will shed more light on the duo is an open question, but for now the music is doing enough talking.
