Lil Wayne Cannot Look at Milk, and He Has Thoughts on White, Soft Foods

An appearance on the *Friends Keep Secrets* podcast reveals Lil Wayne’s deep texture-based aversions, from ranch to mashed potatoes, making a strong case for video podcasts capturing visceral reactions.

Lil Wayne did not come to a sitcom-styled video podcast to make a case for himself as a food critic, but a stray comment about his cereal habits opened a window into a rigid personal policy: no white, soft things, with two exceptions. On a recent episode of Friends Keep Secrets, the show hosted by Lil Dicky, Benny Blanco, and Kristin Batalucco, Wayne described pouring only a small amount of milk into his cereal bowl—and then refusing to look at it.

The reason, he explained, is a broader rejection of foods that are both white and soft. Mashed potatoes, ranch dressing, mayonnaise: all off-limits. The only items that pass are milk and white rice. “When you ask people, you gonna find out this is very, very not uncommon,” Wayne said, his face registering visible disgust as he pronounced “white and soft.”

The moment itself is a reminder of what a camera trained on a conversation can capture that audio cannot. The podcast’s format, shot like a sitcom, turns a simple food aversion into a small, compelling piece of physical comedy. Wayne’s expression alone carries the argument.
