Carly Rae Jepsen shares “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor” from double album *Day and Night*

Carly Rae Jepsen has released a third preview of her ambitious 24-song double album, Day and Night, expected via Interscope later this year. “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor” follows the singles “On Wires” and “After All,” offering another look at the project’s scope.

The new track arrives with a narrative video directed by playwright, actor, and screenwriter Jeremy O. Harris—his first music video. It stars Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Washington as a couple “on the brink,” according to a statement from Harris. He described Jepsen as “our last modern bard,” noting the song “made me think of my relationship and so many others in this bleak moment in history who despite it all aren’t abandoning their partner on the dance floor but working it out together.”

Jepsen announced Day and Night in June, but the full tracklist has yet to be revealed. The double-album format, following a steady stream of releases over the past decade, fits her reputation for expansive pop songwriting. Her last album, The Loveliest Time, landed on lists of 2023’s best, and her breakout E•MO•TION remains a critical touchstone.
