After more than a year away, the singer appeared as a surprise guest at Kaseya Arena, performing “Rock Your Body” alongside the artist who sampled it.
Justin Timberlake’s first live appearance in over a year did not come with a solo show or a formal comeback announcement. It came Saturday night at Kaseya Arena in Miami, when he walked out as a surprise guest during Don Toliver’s set. The two performed “Rock Your Body” — Timberlake’s 2003 single that Toliver interpolated this year in “Body” — and then moved through Toliver’s track as well.
The moment ended a stretch of silence that began July 30, 2025, when Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow world tour wrapped in Istanbul. That tour had been shaped by repeated health setbacks: injuries, illness, laryngitis, bronchitis, and eventually a “debilitating” Lyme disease diagnosis. His June 2024 DWI arrest added a different kind of pressure to the run.
Choosing a guest slot rather than a headline launch reads as a deliberately low-key re-entry. By appearing inside a younger artist’s show, Timberlake let the music itself — specifically a song that has taken on new life through sampling — carry the narrative. The choice suggests recuperation without spectacle, a measured step back to the stage on someone else’s terms.
