OsamaSon Turned a Leak Problem Into an All-Unreleased Set at First Class Fest

OsamaSon’s relationship with unreleased music has often been defined by what gets taken from him. At Toronto’s First Class Fest over the weekend, he reframed that dynamic onstage. A lineup shakeup put him on both nights, and his Saturday set became an 18-song showcase of exclusively unreleased material.

The setlist included live debuts for “All Day,” “Range Rover,” “Guap in My Pants,” “Movie,” “Broad,” and “Creek.” It was a direct response to a pattern that has followed him closely: in 2024, more than 400 unreleased OsamaSon tracks surfaced online, and in January 2025 his album Jump Out leaked weeks before its scheduled release.

At the time, he told The Fader that the leaks undercut his plans. “If I wanted to drop a trailer, if I wanted to go on live and preview it, if I wanted to do a music video, it all goes out the window,” he said. Choosing to perform only unreleased songs in Toronto did not erase that problem, but it gave the material a stage under his terms.

OsamaSon has also been teasing a collaborative album with Nettspend. For now, the Toronto set stands as a small inversion: music that usually circulates without him got a live context he controlled.
