Boddy | Scanner Release Collaborative Album Juxtapositions on DiN

Ian Boddy and Robin Rimbaud, who records as Scanner, have released Juxtapositions, a nine-track collaborative album on Boddy’s long-running DiN imprint. The record follows Scanner’s previous DiN appearances, the solo releases An Ascent and The Homeland of Electricity, and builds on the two musicians’ shared set at Manchester’s Subliminal Impulse festival in 2022.

The album’s title points to its central dynamic. Boddy’s sequenced electronic patterns provide internal architecture, while Rimbaud’s interventions introduce ambiguity, environmental recordings, and unstable textures. Neither artist dominates the sound field. Instead, their approaches continually intersect and reshape one another.
