Burnley wasn’t just sharing a hobby. He said a rival modder had dismissed his work—“Your mod is shit! You don’t know what you’re fucking doing!”—and that the criticism had stopped him from updating it. His solution was to use a Breaking Benjamin headlining slot as leverage: he asked the crowd to download the mod and help him surpass the other creator’s numbers. “Tomorrow, I better see all my motherfuckin’ downloads going up!” he said, with the download details displayed on the stage screen.
