Caspian Announce Self-Titled Album, Share Lead Single ‘Remain’

Caspian have announced their self-titled new album, their first record in six years. The Massachusetts post-rock quintet will release the six-track, 39-minute album on October 16 via Wax Bodega, marking their debut for the label.

The band has shared the lead video single, “Remain.” The tracklisting also includes “Hiraeth,” “Far Country,” “A Great Fire,” “No One Left to Tell,” and the closing “Waltz for the End.”

A self-titled record after a long silence carries a particular weight. It tends to signal a band recentering itself rather than reaching for a new conceptual frame. For Caspian, whose instrumental post-rock leans on slow-building dynamics, the decision reads as a deliberate return to core identity.

The band — Jonny Ashburn, Justin Forrest, Philip Jamieson, Calvin Joss, and Jani Zubkovs — will tour the UK with And So I Watch You From Afar in October. Dates include Leeds on October 15, Manchester on October 16, Glasgow on October 17, Bristol on October 18, and London’s Electric Ballroom on October 29.
