The rollout of Quavo’s next solo album has been moving for months — first through singles, then through clips of the Migos rapper recording on a yacht with Pharrell Williams. The setting implied a certain ease, a contrast to the heavier register of his 2023 record Rocket Power, made in the wake of Takeoff’s death. Now the project has a name and a date.

Qrömelife arrives October 2 on Quality Control/Motown, with Pharrell serving as executive producer under his Neptunes banner. The announcement includes a third preview, “Backwards,” featuring T.I., following two earlier singles released across the year. The title resists immediate reading, but the production credit points toward a more tightly constructed sound than Quavo’s recent solo work.

The release also sits against an unresolved arc. Quavo has mentioned a final Migos album, intended to close the group’s story after Takeoff’s 2022 death, but that project remains without a date. For now, Qrömelife is the next available chapter: a solo record made under calm conditions, with one of pop’s most exacting producers involved.
