Nice as Fuck Return for October U.S. Tour

Jenny Lewis, Erika Spring, and Tennessee Thomas will take the band back on the road with eight dates from Pasadena to Brooklyn.

Nice as Fuck have announced their first tour since the trio of Jenny Lewis, Erika Spring, and Tennessee Thomas released their self-titled debut almost a decade ago. The October run begins at Sid the Cat in Pasadena on October 16 and moves through San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and Chicago before landing on the East Coast.

DJ Alix Brown will open every date. The short itinerary closes October 29 at Xanadu Roller Arts in Brooklyn, with stops in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia along the way.

The band first performed together in 2016, debuting at a rally for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Their only album has been out of print since its initial release and is now set for a vinyl reissue. That timing gives the tour a specific purpose: the dates double as a reintroduction to a project that was brief by design.

Nice as Fuck is not the only Lewis-led group to resurface recently. Rilo Kiley reunited last year at California’s Just Like Heaven festival and then moved into a full headlining tour. Where that return played to festival-sized rooms, this one stays at smaller clubs, which suits a band whose identity never leaned on scale.
