Stella Lefty’s ‘Boston’ Hits No. 1 on Country Airplay in 22 Weeks

Stella Lefty’s ‘Boston’ has claimed the top spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in its 22nd week, making her the first solo-billed woman to take a debut entry to No. 1 since Lainey Wilson’s ‘Things a Man Oughta Know’ in 2021. The track rose one place on the chart dated 26 September, drawing 34.2 million in U.S. audience — up 8% on the previous week.

The milestone also gives Atlantic Outpost its first chart-topper since the label launched in July 2025. ‘Boston’ was the first Atlantic Outpost single to reach Country Airplay at all, making the summit a significant early marker for both artist and label.

The climb carries additional historical weight. Lefty is the first solo-billed woman without credited collaborators to reach No. 1 with a debut Country Airplay entry in more than 22 years, since Gretchen Wilson’s ‘Redneck Woman’ did it in 12 weeks in 2004. At 22 weeks, the song is also 10 weeks faster than the average Country Airplay climb during the 2020s and ranks as the sixth-fastest ascent among solo-billed women making their first appearances across the chart’s 36-year history.

The radio result arrives while ‘Boston’ sits at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated 19 September. Lefty’s collaboration with Vincent Mason, ‘Something to Lose’, also moved from No. 47 to No. 45 on Country Airplay. Both tracks appear on her debut EP ‘Is This Heaven?’ and debut album ‘Long Way Home’, which each reached the top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
