Taylor Swift Expands ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ with Four New Tracks

Taylor Swift has confirmed a deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl, titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, set for release this Friday, September 25th. The expanded version adds four new songs: “Patient Zero,” which Swift had already named as her next single, alongside “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”

The announcement follows the album’s record-breaking first week, which Swift referenced in a social media post. She explained that the new material was written in Sweden while visiting producers Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she worked on the original album. “Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs,” she wrote. The quick turnaround suggests the tracks came directly out of that period, rather than being leftovers from earlier sessions.

Pre-orders for the digital version of The Encore are now open through Swift’s website and major digital service providers. The move extends the album’s commercial cycle while offering a glimpse into how its success shaped Swift’s immediate creative response.
