The 2022 clip becomes Styles’ second video to reach the milestone, following 2017’s ‘Sign of the Times’.
Four years after its release, the video for Harry Styles’ “As It Was” has passed one billion views on YouTube. Directed by Tanu Muino, the clip arrived in 2022 as the lead single from his third album, Harry’s House. It is Styles’ second video to reach the mark, following 2017’s “Sign of the Times.”
The song remains the biggest US hit of his solo career, spending 15 weeks at number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200. Harry’s House spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200 and won Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammys. The video was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” took the prize.
The YouTube milestone arrives while Styles continues his Together, Together tour, with dates scheduled through August 2027, including three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on 25, 27 and 28 August. Dork recently broke down the tour’s upfront ticket-price disclosure, which separates artist-set face values from estimated all-in costs before buyers join the queue.
