Dame Dash’s Life Rights Sold for $550,000 in Bankruptcy Auction

A Florida bankruptcy court has confirmed the sale of Dame Dash’s life rights to Everlasting Films LLC for $550,000, with proceeds going to his creditors.

A Florida bankruptcy court has confirmed the sale of Dame Dash’s life rights to Everlasting Films LLC for $550,000. The proceeds will go directly to his creditors. The auction closed on October 1, and trustee Traci K. Stevenson submitted the result to the court on October 21. Everlasting Films began with a $37,000 stalking-horse bid before winning the package.

The sale covers exclusive worldwide rights to Dash’s life story, plus 100 hours of video content, photographs, memorabilia, and an unreleased documentary or film project still in development. If Everlasting Films fails to close, backup bidder Doug Peters is positioned to buy the rights for $500,000.

The case shows how bankruptcy courts now treat public persona as property. Dash filed in September 2025 listing $25 million in liabilities against $4,350 in personal assets. Stevenson argued the rights had evident value because of Dash’s profile and his history with Roc-A-Fella Records and Jay-Z, citing the established market for name, image, likeness, and life narrative. Dash also faces a separate claim from filmmaker Josh Webber over $4,408.20 in court-ordered sanctions and royalty streams for the 2018 film Honor Up. The auction turns Dash’s history into an asset to be sold, not a story he controls.
