LISA Releases ‘PRESS PLAY,’ a Six-Track EP Built as a Film

LISA’s new EP is sequenced like scenes rather than singles, and its centerpiece arrives with an action video that leans hard into its title. The rollout behind it includes a record-setting YouTube debut and the first Las Vegas residency headlined by a K-pop artist.

LISA has released PRESS PLAY, a six-track EP arranged as a film rather than a collection of singles. The concept is stated plainly and then followed through: the record is meant to be played in order, from opening scene to credits, and its sequencing is built to support that reading.

The clearest evidence is the video for “Tarantino,” the track placed at the EP’s center. LISA fights her way through a hotel to hand-deliver a note to the director the song is named after, with choreography shaped around the genre reference. Around it, “SaWaDiKa” opens the record, “V12” and “Cobra” carry the middle, and “Cut U Off” and “Sweat” close it out.

The rollout has been substantial for a solo K-pop release. “SaWaDiKa,” named for the Thai greeting, was shot in LISA’s hometown of Bangkok and drew more than 70.8 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours, a figure described as the biggest YouTube debut of 2026 and among her largest. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69, her highest placement on that chart so far. She gave it its television debut at the MTV VMAs, where she also won Best Pop for “Dream,” becoming the first solo K-pop artist to take the category.

Las Vegas follows. The VIVA LA LISA residency takes over the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six nights in November, with two dates added after the first four sold out in under ten minutes, making her the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency. Always Lalisa, Sue Kim’s documentary on her solo year, is in cinemas now.
