Bibio and Dorian Concept Detail Long-Distance Album ‘Answers’

The two producers turn fifteen years of intermittent exchange into a full-length record for Warp, out October 16.

Bibio and Dorian Concept have turned a sporadic, fifteen-year conversation into a cohesive record. ‘Answers’, their first full-length together, arrives October 16 via Warp Records.

The connection predates the project by a long stretch. They met in 2009 and have kept in contact since, trading ideas without forcing them into a fixed shape. More recently, Bibio contributed guitar to Dorian Concept’s 2025 release ‘Miniature’. The new album grew from that proximity, recorded remotely across Vienna, Wolverhampton and rural Wales.

First single ‘Lichen Trip’ gives a clear view of the working method. Both voices are present: Bibio’s melodic weight and Dorian Concept’s rhythmic restlessness sit close together without cancelling each other out. The result is delicate but not thin, rich enough to carry the duo’s shared language without overstating it. A video by Wilkinson and Johnson accompanies the track.

The album doesn’t arrive with a grand narrative, and it doesn’t need one. What matters is the accumulated trust between two producers who have stayed in orbit long enough to know what the other leaves unsaid.
