BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ Opens at Number One on Billboard 200

The group’s comeback album earns 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, marking the biggest sales week of 2026 so far.

BTS has taken the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart with their new album ‘ARIRANG’. The project earned 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the largest weekly total for any album this year.

The figure includes 532,000 in pure album sales and 95,000 in streaming equivalent album units, derived from 99.1 million on-demand streams of the album’s tracks. This debut places the K-pop group ahead of Luke Combs, whose latest album ‘The Way I Am’ opened at number two.

The chart’s upper ranks reflect a mix of established stars, with Morgan Wallen, Harry Styles, and Don Toliver following in the top five. The achievement underscores the consistent commercial power of BTS’s releases, even as the group’s activities have shifted in recent years.
