Bulletbelt Return to the Deathgasm Franchise with “Deathgasm 2”

New Zealand metal band Bulletbelt have released the video for “Deathgasm 2,” the theme song for Jason Howden’s horror comedy sequel of the same name. The group previously contributed to the first Deathgasm film, and their return was a direct request from the director.

Howden said he was “adamant” that Bulletbelt write and perform the new theme. The song adjusts the band’s earlier punky blackened speed metal approach toward a more power metal frame, while keeping the tone grounded. Drummer Steve Francis described the track as cinematic and confirmed it contains a musical reference to the original.

The video was directed by Alex Hargreaves. It arrives before the film’s streaming debut on October 13 and select Alamo screenings on September 29.

The Deathgasm 2 soundtrack also features GWAR, Anvil, Skinless, Alien Weaponry, Sanguisugabogg, Frozen Soul, Into Eternity, Havok, and Skull Fist. Raven Banner will release the vinyl edition in late October. “Deathgasm 2” will also appear on Bulletbelt’s next album, Midnight Fistfight, due February 12, 2027.
