Two days after reports surfaced that Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll were ending their marriage, the Dumb Blonde host addressed the split on her podcast with a message that cut against the usual separation script. The couple is divorcing after ten years—but they are not abandoning the child they spent years trying to conceive.
“We’re still having a baby,” Bunnie said, describing Jelly Roll as her “best friend.” The declaration came after a detailed account of an IVF process that she said “wrecked” her emotionally, spiritually, and physically. At 46, she struggled to produce enough eggs. The country singer, she noted, had a low sperm count and went on hormonal medication that made him “a freaking nightmare” at home. The cumulative loss—four embryos over three transfers—was devastating. “That is one of the loneliest, darkest journeys you will be on,” she told listeners.
The pair married in a Las Vegas chapel in 2016, and her support was instrumental during his long ascent: she funded early recordings and helped secure custody of his daughter from a previous marriage.
