Columbia Reissues Miles Davis and John Coltrane's Complete Recordings for Centennial Year

The 58-track box set, originally released in 2000, returns in November with previously unreleased alternate takes and archival packaging restored.

The centennial year of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, both born in 1926, brings another archival release. Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings will reissue Miles Davis & John Coltrane — The Complete Columbia Recordings 1955-1961 on November 6th.

This is not a new compilation. The set first appeared in 2000, produced by Michael Cuscuna and Bob Belden, and earned Grammys for best box set and best liner notes the following year.
