Dolly Parton’s Estate Confirms DollyFest for 2027

Dolly Parton’s estate has confirmed DollyFest: The Celebration of a Lifetime, a two-day festival planned for consecutive weekends in Nashville and London in 2027. The announcement positions the event as a direct alternative to a traditional memorial. According to Danny Nozell, Parton’s long-time manager and founder of CTK Enterprises, the idea belonged to Parton herself. It was initially scheduled around her 80th birthday in January this year, with a venue already booked, before her health forced a change of plan.

“What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life,” Nozell said. He added that Parton did not want a conventional memorial and that it felt more appropriate to let immediate tributes occur naturally before moving forward with the festival-style concept she had envisioned.

Parton died on 25 August at age 80. Nozell’s reference to “What Would Dolly Do?” frames DollyFest as the estate’s answer to that question. Dates, venues, line-ups and ticketing remain unannounced. For now, the festival stands as the most concrete public direction from the estate since her death.
