Duffy has detailed her experience of being raped, kidnapped, and held captive in a new documentary for Disney+. In a social media post accompanying the release, she stated the documentary was made to “give context to the silence.” She has not performed live in over 15 years, a period of absence she has previously alluded to as a consequence of trauma.
