Ed Sheeran’s Stadium Looping Rig Gets a Consumer Workstation

The Sheeran Looper X translates the artist’s one-man-band performance system into standalone hardware, with a compact Looper + model for portable use.

Ed Sheeran’s live show relies on a singular skill: building entire tracks from layered guitar and vocal loops in real time. The setup that powers those stadium performances has now been codified into a flagship workstation, the Sheeran Looper X. Developed with inMusic Brands and the engineering team behind HeadRush, the unit marks the launch of the Sheeran Loopers brand and brings a streamlined version of his touring rig directly to musicians.

At its core is a 7‑inch multi‑touch display for waveform rendering and a set of die‑cast aluminum pedals that mirror the precision of the original rig. Rather than a generic loop pedal, the Looper X is a dedicated, 32‑bit audio workstation with a built‑in chromatic tuner and a Multi FX engine powered by HeadRush technology. Visual feedback from an RGB LED system helps performers keep tight timing across complex arrangements, while professional I/O, expandable SD storage, and USB audio connectivity are aimed squarely at serious solo artists.

Priced at $1,199 USD, the Looper X turns a custom touring solution into a high‑end consumer product. For street performers and traveling musicians, a compact $299 Sheeran Looper + keeps the die‑cast build and core functionality in a portable, pedal‑based format. No other artist‑branded gear has attempted to commercialize a signature live technique with this level of hardware commitment, and the arrival of these loopers suggests a shift in how stagecraft translates into accessible tools.
