Girl In The Year Above, the Irish-Cornish duo whose identities remain unknown, have confirmed a nine-date UK tour this October. The dates coincide with the release of their debut EP, ‘Summer Indoors (or outside wearing black)’.
Operating from East Anglia with little more than a handful of songs and no biographical detail, the band has nonetheless gathered a quiet but growing reputation. In a recent interview with Dork – one of the few times they’ve opened the attic window – the pair offered only fragments, keeping the focus firmly on the music.
The EP collects earlier singles alongside new material, and the tour marks their first sustained run of live shows. Full dates are available on the band’s social channels. For a project built on absence as much as presence, the dates are a chance to see what lies beyond the fog.
