Hipnosis Festival has announced its 2026 lineup, and the Mexico City event is again positioning itself as a curator of select, cult-adjacent bookings rather than a mass-market attraction. The headliners suggest an agenda: Kim Gordon, Future Islands, Melvins, and The Lemon Twigs will all appear when the festival returns this November.

Gordon’s placement makes immediate sense. Her post-Sonic Youth output has sharpened rather than softened, and her presence at a festival with alternative leanings carries weight. Melvins bring decades of uncompromising sludge and experimental rock, a legacy act that never chased accessibility. Future Islands offer a different register—synthesizer-driven indie with a theatrical frontman, now well into a second decade of steady work. The Lemon Twigs round out the initial names with their studied, baroque pop-rock.
