JAY-Z and The Roots to Headline 2026 Roots Picnic at New Venue

The festival moves to the historic Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia for its 2026 edition, featuring a joint headlining set.

JAY-Z will headline the 2026 Roots Picnic alongside The Roots. The joint performance marks their first as co-headliners in over ten years.

The two-day festival is scheduled for May 30 and 31, 2026. It will relocate from The Mann Center to the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park.

The move to the historic plateau, a noted site for past music events, signals a shift in scale and setting for the annual gathering. The event is curated by The Roots and their manager, Shawn Gee.

Further lineup details and ticket information for the 2026 edition are expected to be announced at a later date.
