The HYBE x Geffen Records group performed as a five-piece, framing their festival debut as a pivotal moment.
Katseye made their Coachella debut on the Sahara Stage Friday night. The performance was billed as a key moment for the HYBE and Geffen Records-backed group, who have openly discussed the festival’s significance for months.
Their set, themed “Katseye City,” incorporated rooftop dance scenes and building props named after their songs. They opened with “Pinky Up,” the single released just before the festival. Notably, member Manon Bannerman, currently on hiatus, did not appear in any capacity, with the group performing as a five-piece.
In interviews leading up to the performance, the group framed Coachella as an iconic step, suggesting it won’t be their last. Lara Raj told Nylon she saw it as a “big pivotal moment,” while the group promised “many more Coachella” appearances to come.
