A new trailer for the sequel film features an original house pop collaboration from the two Grammy-winning artists.
The first trailer for *The Devil Wears Prada 2* arrives with its own built in theme song. Lady Gaga and Doechii have collaborated on an original track titled “Runway,” previewed in the sequel’s promotional clip.
The song shares its name with the fictional fashion magazine at the film’s center. In the brief snippets, the track establishes a house pop framework. Gaga handles the melodic hook, a declarative “You were born for the runway” that fits the movie’s world. Doechii’s verses cut through with a sharper, rhythmic confidence. Lines like “Serve a little sass with a little side of ass” and “Do a little twirl, let ’em know that I’m that girl” land with the punch of a runway strut.
This isn’t Gaga’s only involvement with the project, as she is also reported to have a cameo in the film. The collaboration pairs two artists who were winners at the most recent Grammy ceremonies, though it serves a specific cinematic function first. The track’s driving, four on the floor pulse is designed for the gloss and momentum of a fashion montage.
The full single has not yet seen an independent release. Its premiere is currently tied to the film’s marketing, with the movie scheduled for release on May 1. The preview suggests a purpose built pop moment, engineered for the spectacle of the runway itself.
