Lucia & The Best Boys Detail Second Album ‘Picking Petals’

The Glasgow band announces their sophomore record, recorded at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studio and featuring collaborations with Lauren Mayberry and Abigail Morris.

Lucia & The Best Boys have confirmed the details of their second album, ‘Picking Petals’. It is scheduled for release later this year.

The follow up to 2023’s ‘Burning Castles’ was recorded at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow with producer Yves Rothman. The band frames the location as a return to singer Lucia Fairfull’s Scottish roots.

They have shared the new single ‘You Look Like Somebody In Love’, which comes with a video directed by Sal Redpath. It follows the earlier track ‘Lonely Girl’, a collaboration with CHVRCHES vocalist Lauren Mayberry. The album will also feature a contribution from The Last Dinner Party’s Abigail Morris, highlighting Fairfull’s place within a specific creative network.

The announcement solidifies the group’s trajectory after their debut, grounding their next step in both geography and community.
