Miky Woodz Returns to Trap on His Own Terms with ‘Everything RiaL’

The Puerto Rican rapper drops his first fully trap album, leaning into the slogan that has defined his career.

Miky Woodz has built a career on versatility—street narratives, personal reflections, tracks for the club—all delivered with a rapid-fire flow and hip-hop-rooted bars. But on Everything RiaL, his new album out this past Friday, the Puerto Rican rapper commits to one sound from start to finish: trap. It’s a deliberate move, and one he says his label Rimas had been pushing for since he signed.

The title draws from Woodz’s long-running catchphrase, a tag that doubles as a philosophy. Across the project, he interrogates authenticity in the music business and beyond, filtering out what he calls “bullshit” with the same instinct he honed on the basketball court before rap took over. One track stands out: a dedication to fathers, drawn from his own experience raising a pre-teen son.

Despite being a frequent collaborator—he’s worked with Anuel AA, Ozuna, and Bad Bunny—Woodz’s own albums rarely feature guests. Everything RiaL is no exception. “When I give my word, I keep it,” he says, hinting at the complications that come with album features. The result is a solo statement that feels less like a compromise and more like a homecoming to the sound that shaped him.
