The Colombian pop rock band will channel a portion of sold-out Movistar Arena ticket sales through UNICEF, targeting four regions affected by Monday’s 7.4-magnitude earthquake.
Colombian pop rock band Morat announced Friday that a portion of ticket sales from their upcoming Bogotá residency will go to regions affected by Monday’s 7.4-magnitude earthquake. The six-date run at Movistar Arena kicks off the band’s “Ya Es Mañana World Tour” and is already sold out.
In a video shared on social media, the four band members said the funds will be channeled through UNICEF and directed toward rebuilding schools in Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Antioquia, and the Eje Cafetero. They also plan to set up four donation points inside Movistar Arena during the shows so concertgoers can contribute further.
“We know this is just a small contribution and that there’s still much more to be done,” Morat said. “We invite everyone to join us.”
The Bogotá residency runs from Friday through August 23, with later tour stops in Santiago, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Madrid, and Mexico City. The aid commitment ties the group’s commercial momentum to immediate regional need without turning the residency into a benefit event.
