Rush will close the loop on their reunion with a five-night stay at Sphere in Las Vegas. The band announced the Elevate From the Norm residency on Thursday, with dates on May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027. Each night pairs a set of favorites and hits with the tributes to Neil Peart that have become a fixture of the Fifty Something tour, and includes full performances of 2112 and Moving Pictures.

The venue arrived as an idea before it arrived as a booking. Geddy Lee recalled hearing about Sphere while Rush were still off the road: "I thought to myself, 'wow, what a shame that RUSH is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows.'" He describes the band now working to expand the visuals of the current tour and build "new madness to suit this incredible venue," calling the residency "the cherry on top of the ice cream for our design team."

The context is a tour that has already outrun expectations. Rush played their first dates in 11 years starting June 7, their first without Peart, who died in January 2020. Anika Nilles has held the drum chair, drawing praise for a precise approach to Peart's arrangements, with Loren Gold on keyboards filling out the stage sound. The run wraps April 10 in Helsinki before the band heads to Nevada.

Sphere rewards a band that thinks in images, and Rush have always designed shows as pictures first. What the residency adds is scale applied to two records built for it: 2112's overture and temples, Moving Pictures's red bars and cameras. The Rush channel's own footage of "2112: Overture / The Temples Of Syrinx / Discovery" is a reminder of how much of that album already lives as cinema in the ear, and how much a room like this can amplify.

Presales open first to Rush Backstage and newsletter subscribers on Friday at 1 p.m. ET, with an artist presale from November 11; VIP and travel packages run through Superfan with the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, including a dedicated merch pop-up. Five nights, one band, and a room designed to make the old overture feel new.
