Saskia has announced her next EP, Wearing All White Like An Angel, set for release on 9th October via Black Butter Records. The five-track project follows her debut EP The Noise and recent singles ‘sickofmyself’ and ‘If I’m Alive’.
New track ‘saysomething (bite)’ is the lead single. Written during a period when the Devon-born, London-based artist was working through her response to the world around her and her own position within it, the song arrives as a form of self-address. “I think, in a way, I wrote the song to myself,” Saskia explains. “A reminder to keep going, to keep pressing forward even when you can’t see where you’re headed.”
Across the EP, Saskia examines growing older and moving away from earlier versions of herself. “I felt quite lost at the time of making the project, like I didn’t really recognise myself,” she says. “These songs are more a representation of me looking at the world around me and trying to make sense of how I fit into it.” The record includes the title track and ‘saysomething (bite)’.
