South London rapper Slim returns with a 13-track mixtape that reflects personal growth while staying rooted in the gritty sound that built his name.
South London rapper Slim has released a new mixtape, ‘The Final Call’. The 13-track project follows weeks of cryptic messaging, including the line “all good things come to an end,” and arrives as a clear marker of transition for an artist known for viral success.
Slim broke through with the M Huncho collaboration “In My Bag,” a track that has since passed 50 million streams. But this tape aims beyond the single, drawing on years of personal history and speaking directly to the core supporters who, as he puts it, have stayed loyal through every trial.
Features from Rimzee, Ozz Cash, and Twin S punctuate the record, though the focus rests on Slim’s own storytelling. He frames the material as motivation, built from real experiences in the streets and in prison, but shaped by a recent turn toward health, fitness, and personal growth. The sound remains raw and rooted in the same gritty palette, even as the perspective shifts.
Slim has described the process as reigniting a connection with music he felt he had lost. Whether the project delivers on that is a matter for the listener, but the intent is unambiguous: a step forward without forgetting where it began.
