Stress management programme for dance music professionals opens applications

A fully funded six-month therapeutic course backed by CAA agent Maria May is now accepting applications for five dance music workers.

The Music Industry Therapist Collective (MITC) has launched a six-month stress management programme for dance music professionals. Five fully funded places are available, each including one-to-one mentoring with CAA agent Maria May.

The programme is designed as a preventative measure rather than a crisis response. It targets workers in an environment defined by long hours, late nights, and the pressure to always appear switched on. The organisers point out that excessive stress in the industry is often only noticed when someone has already passed their breaking point.

MITC is the same collective that has provided mental health support for tours by Radiohead and The Last Dinner Party. The programme runs for six months and covers therapeutic sessions alongside the mentoring component. Applications are open now.
