Tune-Yards Set November U.S. Tour with Rituals of Mine

Tune-Yards will tour the U.S. this fall behind their sixth studio album, *Better Dreaming*, and a growing body of film composition work. The Oakland duo’s run, titled The Ones That Love You, begins November 5 in Chicago and moves through Cleveland, Cincinnati, Grand Rapids, Boston, and smaller markets like Homer, New York and Hamden, Connecticut. Rituals of Mine, the pop project led by Sacramento’s Terra Lopez, opens each date.

The tour arrives after a busy period that extends beyond the band’s own catalog. Earlier this year, Tune-Yards wrote and released the score for Boots Riley’s comedy-crime film *I Love Boosters*, following their work on Riley’s 2018 debut feature *Sorry to Bother You*. That collaboration has become a defining thread in the duo’s recent output, blending Merrill Garbus’s percussive vocal arrangements and Nate Brenner’s low-end production into Riley’s surreal, politically charged storytelling.

While *Better Dreaming* landed in 2025 with a leaner, more direct sound than the project’s loop-heavy early records, these dates will likely pull from across Tune-Yards’ full arc. The routing favors intimate rooms over festival stages, a fitting scale for a band that continues to refine how its layered, rhythm-first songs work live. The full schedule includes eleven shows, wrapping November 18 at Paradise Rock Club in Boston.
